Prova N1Proof starts in the jar.

A two-part node that holds to a specimen container’s lid and records what the tissue goes through on the way to your lab.

Prova N1 shown apart: the satin silver brain on top of a specimen container lid, the plum camera puck with its thin temperature probe below it, and the clear jar underneath

Every biopsy starts in a jar. Nobody is watching it.

Between the procedure room and the grossing bench, a specimen can wait, travel, warm up and get opened. Most of that is a handwritten time on a requisition, if it is written down at all.

Never recorded

  • Fixative temperature, minute by minute
  • Every time the lid comes off
  • How the jar was handled in transit
  • What the tissue looked like inside

Prova N1 captures the ground truth before the slide.

What happened to the tissue in the jar, measured while it happened. Not reconstructed from paperwork later.

Inside N1

Two halves. One lid between them.

The brain sits on top of the lid. The puck sits under it, in the jar. Magnets hold them together through the lid, and the brain powers the puck across it. Nothing pierces the container.

How it works

Snaps on. No tools, no holes.

  2. Brain on top.

  3. Magnets lock them in line.

It sees the tissue, not just the jar.

A camera under the lid looks down into the fixative with its own diffused light. It takes a picture when the jar is handled or settles, or when you ask, and keeps every image on N1 until it is synced.

Temperature from inside the fixative.

A sealed probe rests in the formalin and logs its temperature about once a minute, from the moment N1 is activated.

Every open. Every close.

A lid sticker lets N1 tell when the jar was opened and closed. Each event is time-stamped on the record.

The Prova Record™

Tap the lid. Read the jar.

Hold a phone to the brain to identify the jar, and its history downloads over Bluetooth. Times, temperatures, lid events and images on one timeline.

N1 covers the jar. S1 covers the slide.

Both write to the same Prova Record™, so the specimen’s history travels with it from collection to the scanner.
